Dr. Tara Scharich is a 5th generation chiropractor and a mom of three teenagers. Dr. Tara grew up in Canada and opened up Fully Alive Family Chiropractic in SW MI with her husband in 2007 with a mission to create a community of healthy families living connected and fully alive! As a brain-based family chiropractor, she has extensive post-doctoral training in pediatric and wellness care and specializes in helping neurotypical and neurodiverse children develop optimally. She is a visionary, leader, speaker, teacher and student who loves helping families handle stress better and live life to the fullest!
Dr Melanie Kom (also known as Dr Mel) is a first generation Asian American born in California and raised in Holland, MI. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a minor in Women & Gender Studies. She received her Doctorate cum laude from Sherman College of Chiropractic. Dr Mel has a profound interest and expertise in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care.
Suzanne has been on Team Fully Alive for over 15 years, currently encouraging and assisting patients as our Patient Advocate. She works closely with Dr Tara and Dr Melanie to track every patient’s progress through strategically designed and timed exams throughout their recommended care plan. She brings her faith, her biology/microbiology degree from California State University, and years of experience from lab work, parenting, teaching preschool, directing a women’s hotline, and countless interpersonal & chiropractic trainings, seminars, and certifications to this technical position.
Jennifer, mother of 6, personally has served as the Elementary PTO Treasurer, Vice President and Middle School PTO Treasurer. Her skills include balancing budgets, attention to detail, communication, planning, organizing and executing events. With over 7 years with Fully Alive, she is excited to share her experience and knowledge with others and loves serving as the Financial CA to connect with patients and truly set them up to succeed in their health and wellness journey.
Kaitlyn thrives on being sunshine and compassion for everything God brings to earth. Being a mother and caring for others is a big passion of hers. Kaitlyn has training to work alongside individuals on the Autism Spectrum and looks forward to using these skills at Fully Alive.
Stephanie is a wife, mother of three, and the newest staff member at Fully Alive! She is most often seen greeting patients from the front desk, but also works behind the scenes assisting in marketing and events. She has a business degree from Bethel University in Mishawaka, IN. Prior to working at Fully Alive she homeschooled her children and taught yearbook and graphic design at their homeschool co-op for eight years. Stephanie has a heart for reflecting the love of the Lord while fully living each moment with gratitude and connection.
Cassandra is a mother, homeopathy advocate, and a yoga teacher and holistic arts practitioner with 16 years of experience as a movement educator under her belt. She holds skills in marketing, graphic design and has a passion for creating and facilitating mindful events. She happily shares these gifts with our Fully Alive family! Cass is passionate about getting people the information they need to grow and holding space for people to explore more, be curious and strengthen their relationship with their intuition.
Charley is a health science student at Lake Michigan college. She desires to learn and grow in the field of patient care with hopes to become an ultrasound technician in the future. Currently, she is practicing and training as a student CA tech at Fully Alive. Charley has an eagerness to share God’s love with people whatever path he directs her towards.
Carly is a holistic nutritionist, herbalist, and community educator. She is a committed life-long learner. She holds a Masters degree in holistic nutrition from a naturopathic university, and has continued education in herbalism, functional medicine, and other traditional medical systems. She loves being a part of the Fully Alive community and serves as a wellness educator. Carly has a heart for connecting people to the healing power of Nature.
